Today was Irish Breeds (and Redheads, too!) Day at Dogtopia of White Flint!

While our group was small, we had a blast during our special playtime session at naptime.

Thanks to Pinot, Chloe, Yaki, Murphy and Ellie!

To be fair, Yaki is a Boston Terrier, and therefore not an actual Irish Breed… but she is a BOSTON Terrier and we felt that was enough to let her get in on the fun!

Our very first Breed Day with  Chocolate Dogs to celebrate Valentine’s was a great success and we’re looking forward to March!

This year St Patrick’s Day falls right on a Tuesday, so we definitely have to recognize our dogs of Irish lineage!

We thought it’d also be fun to ask all you redheads to come along as well! Red Goldens, Red Poodles, Viszlas… you’re joining the party!

Irish breeds include Irish Setters, Irish Terriers, Irish Water Spaniels, Irish Wolfhounds (wouldn’t that be fun!!), Kerry Blue Terriers, Wheaten Terriers and Irish Red and White Setters.

Quite a list!

If you aren’t familiar with our Breed Days: Monthly we will hold a special playgroup for different breeds, breed types, and mixes. The dogs get special play time and a fun photo session. Everyone who participates gets to take home a fun photo collage!

We held our very first Breed Day at White Flint today and it was a blast! We had lots of chocolate (and maybe some lighter brown) pups come to play. Each participated in a special naptime play session and went home with a Valentine’s bandana.

Special thanks to Enzo’s (the very handsome Rhodesian Ridgeback) mom who even brought us some delicious cookie/brownie snacks!!

Each dog also took home a photo collage of their fun… next month’s breed day might just salute dogs from the Emerald Isle in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day!

What are breed days?

At times the mood will strike us and we’ll become so excited about a special breed or breed mix that we can’t help, but invite them all to come to daycare on the same day!

There’s no discrimination here, so everyone will play in daycare together as normal, but that day’s breed, breed type or mix will get special play time and a fun photo session. Everyone who participates gets to take home a fun photo collage.

In honor of Valentine’s Day and our favorite guilty pleasure – Chocolate - we invite all chocolate colored (brown ) dogs to come for a Breed Day!
