Getting our paws dirty for the community!
Monday, April 20th, 2009Yesterday, we spent the morning out at Baron Cameron Park, replanting a flowerbed that hadn’t been tended to in some time.
The bed is right at the entrance to the park and backs up to the dog park there, so we were really pleased to “beautify” it!
Thanks to Brian Davidson of Reston Dogs for giving us the go ahead on the project and special, special thanks to Treefrog Nursery, who donated many of the plants and assisted with the design!

Noah and his Dad, Brian (park organizer) were a great help!

Even the dogs came out to get their paws (and noses) dirty for a good cause

The Dogtopia team couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday!

We soon heard back from the wonderful folks who make up RestonDogs, the organization responsible for the Off-Leash Dog Park at Baron Cameron Park… most commonly known as The Reston Dog Park. They wanted to encourage everyone who uses and loves the park to become an actual member. The yearly fee is only $20 and proceeds help maintain the park. They were also looking for ways to raise funds in general, as they hoped to add a new water source to the park and some new landscaping in the future.
