Meet Trainer Toni!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley is pleased to introduce dog-lover and certified trainer, Toni Lee Hage, to our team. Toni brings years of professional experience and a keen understanding of dog behavior and training to Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley. She will also bring fun and creative training class options for you and your pup to our new facility when we open this summer, as well as frequent and helpful information and literature right here on this blog!

“I believe in a fun and humane approach based on experience, scientific research, and proven training and behavior modification methodologies,” says Toni.

She says she began training dogs at the age of 12, but that it was the adoption of SuSu, a one-year-old dog stray with a plethora of behavioral quirks, that training became her lifelong passion.

“More than any other living being, she has taught me the most about dog behavior,” she says. “One of my favorite sayings is ‘When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!’ That’s my vision – to help you and your dog ‘make lemonade’ by learning how to have fun together and overcome undesirable behavior.”

We sure are happy to have her! For more information about Toni or to contact her, visit her “FunDawgs” website by CLICKING HERE!

Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley coming to Pleasanton!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley is coming to Pleasanton, and we could not be happier. In fact, it’s in our name, and making you and your dog as happy as possible is our business.

Imagine a premier Dog Daycare and Spa venue for your pet, a safe doggy-paradise featuring over 3,500 square feet of climate-controlled, clean goodness for your dog to be a dog.

This July, that thought becomes a reality as Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley opens its doors! There’s The Gym, a 1750 square-foot area for big and active dogs to alleviate all that excess energy and constant barking. There’s The Lounge, where the mellow and “more experienced in years” pooches can hang out on comfy futons for some R&R. Then theres the Romper Room, a fun area designed for puppies and small dogs to, you guessed it, romp around in.

And every room will be monitored by our certified and talented staff of dog-lovers, all with the focus of keeping your dog happy, safe and having fun. Don’t worry, we want you to have fun and be happy, too. That’s why we feature web cams in every playroom that you can access any time from your computer to see what your pup is really like when your at work and he’s at play.

Doptopia of the Tri-Valley is also dedicated to providing the best of services for your animal, a one-stop-shop, if you will. Does Rover need a “Pawticure?” We can do that. How about some pampering spa treatments with some TLC and organic-based doggy shampoos and soaps. We can do that, too! We also will offer over 200 square feet of doggy retail in our lobby and fun, creative training classes with certified trainer Toni Lee Hage in case your pup wants to take the fun (and a few new tricks and manners) back home! Need that to be in a few days? We also offer overnight and extended-stay services to all dogs.

To ensure the best environment and experience for your dog, we provide a thorough evaluation process on first visit. Starting June 10, you can call 925-22K-9DOG or email to denise@dogdaycare.com to schedule an appointment for your dog.

“I just really have enjoyed meeting people that I have met in the community so far, and I am looking forward to being a part of this community,” says Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley Owner Denise Caruso.

We know your dog is part of your family. We are looking forward to meeting her and being a new member of your Tri-Valley community. You could just say we are… very happy!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009
Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley is pleased to announce our partnership with Valley Human Society, a non-profit animal wellfare organization dedicated to promoting responisble pet ownership and saving the lives of dogs and cats for over 20 years.

What does Lisa, a lovable resident at Valley Human Society currently up for for adoption, think think about it?

The caring staff and volunteers of Valley Human Society helped find good homes for over 200 animals just like Lisa last year alone, and their dedication to education and awareness programs continues to have a paw-sitive impact on the Tri-Valley community. Like Valley Humane Society, we at Dogtopia of the Tri-Valley are all about the happiness and well-being of your pets, and we are very excited about becoming part of this community. We are also thrilled to work with Valley Humane Society by featuring adoptable animals and spreading the word about upcoming Valley Humane Society events and fund raisers on this blog.

Valley Humane Society is powered solely by the hard work of its staff and volunteers and the donations it receives from people like you. Doptopia of the Tri-Valley is proud to co-sponsor one of VHS’s largest fund raising events of the year, The Great Catsby. This roaring-20’s themed extravaganza will feature dinner, dancing and gambling under the stars. Tickets for the July 18th event are $75 a person and can be purchased either in person at the Valley Humane Society or online by CLICKING HERE.

If the adult’s-only scene of The Great Catsby isn’t your style, bring the family and the family dog down to the parking lot of Valley Human Society for good, clean fun (and a clean dog) at the Wiggle Waggle Dog Wash! All dog washes are free, with donations to Valley Humane Society appreciated. Just bring your pooch on June 6, August 8 and September 5 from Noon to 4 P.M.
