Each year we ask you to send in your spooky, cute, original and outright AWESOME pictures of your dog in their Halloween gear for our “Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest”. We’re always thrilled to see our favorite four-legged clients dressed up for the holiday and this year was certainly no disappointment!

Choose your favorite and vote by leaving a comment with the dog’s name and costume (to ensure fairness, the comments will remain anonymous). Voting is open until Sunday, the 24th, at 5pm. Only one vote per person is allowed, but you can certainly pass the contest along to anyone and everyone you’d like to get the vote out for your fav!!

A 5-Day Pass are up for grabs!  Our local winner will move on to our Nationals where they will compete against the winners of 22 stores.  Good luck to our fantastic contestants

It’s time to get your cameras ready again and dress-up your pooch up for our Annual Howl-O-Ween Photo Contest!

Here’s a flashback to last year’s entries. Our top spot went to Pugsley the Turtle. He won a full-service spa package and went on to represent Temecula in the nationwide Dogtopia contest where he was a contender for a 5-day pass for daycare.

Last year’s national contest was quite competitive, featuring doggy versions of Batman and Robin, a Mail dog, a lobster, Shrek and many more.  But the Grand Champion was Morrissey the Pom Pilot from Cary, NC.

Could this year’s national champ be from Temecula? Our Dogtopia family has grown to twenty-two stores and the winner from each store will go on to compete in the national contest. The stakes are high this year as the national winner goes home with the title Howl-O-Ween Champion and a 20-day daycare pass!

Photos of your costumed pet should be emailed to temecula@dogdaycare.com or dropped off at the front desk no later than Tuesday, Oct 19th.

This year voting will take place via our blog beginning Wednesday, Oct 20th.  You’ll be able to vote via the comments section and easily pass it along to family, friends, co-workers – anyone you can think of – to rustle up some votes for your pup!

Remember: Costumes, while fun, can also be dangerous. Make sure your dog cannot get tangled, choked or otherwise injured in his or her Halloween costume. Never leave your pet unsupervised while in costume.

This Wednesday, October 13th, Dogtopia of Temecula will be having a Doggie Barn Dance! All dogs in attendance will enjoy Bobbing for Tennis Balls and some fun photo opportunities. As a yummy afternoon snack they will scarf down a special treat of Doggie-Friendly Apple Pie.  Each dog will receive a special “doggie bag” treat to take home for a midnight snack.
