The Husky Meet Up was a blast this past weekend. We had a good turn out and it seemed that all the Huskies had a fun time playing and romping around in our gym. A few even stayed for grooming after their play time. They came out looking fluffy and refreshed! We look forward to hold many more of these meet ups as they are always so much fun to have.

What a great time we had last Saturday at the Michelle’s Place dog wash fundraiser.  In all, we washed 74 dogs and raise $1,078 for this great cause.  We were also thrilled with the generous donations of blankets, towels and dog food for the benefit of Animal Friends of the Valley.  Check out the photos of this event here.

Charity Dog Wash this Saturday: Come treat your dog to a mid-summer bath and spritz in support of Michelle’s Place, the Women’s Breast Cancer Resource Center.  All proceeds will support Michelle’s Place free programs and services.  The wash is Saturday, September 19 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  A $10 donation is suggested per wash.

Activities: Doggy Baths include: shampoo, towel-dry, fragrant spritz and bandana. Volunteers will give your dog a full service bath. Raffle: Enter our raffle full of great prizes! We have started a new game, Bobbing for Balls! Most of the dogs that come to play love playing in the water, so we decided to see if they would chase the balls in the pool. The results are in! They LOVE it! We tossed the balls in the pool and the dogs chased them in circles until they could get a hold of them. Then they would run over and drop the balls in front of us wanting to play again. By the end of the game everyone was wet and tired.  What a fun way to play on those hot days!
