As many of you know, we foster dogs for Second Chance Pet Adoptions.  We are proud to say that Number 19 went home on Saturday.  That’s 19 dogs that we have found homes for 15 months.  It sure makes you feel great inside.

Second Chance is hosting an event called “Stray From The Heart”.  It’s a chocolate and champagne tasting fundraiser to support the pets at Second Chance.  The event is Friday, February 12th from 7:30-10:30 pm.  Please go to their website at www.secondchancenc.org for more detail or to purchase tickets.

Here is a picture of Gigi (Foster dog #19) that went to her forever home this past Saturday.  We will be getting another foster dog next and will post his picture on the blog as well.

Results have been tabulated and the final two are Tipton and Marlee.  They both took 67% of the votes for their bracket.  The voting for the Final Two will began on Monday morning and end at midnight on Tuesday.  Please encourage friends and family to vote for their favorite.  Remember only one vote per email.  The winner will be announced via the blog on Wednesday afternoon.  Go Tipton and Marlee!!!!!!

The results are in and the next battle is about to begin. Round 2 was a close one. In Match-up #1, Odie won with 52% of the votes. And in Match-up #2, Marlee is the winner with 43% of the votes (Chewie was a close second with 39% of the votes). Our Final Four is now set and voting begins immediately. Remember that we are only counting one vote per email address for each match-up (and yes, we are checking for duplicate emails .  Also, the previous votes will not count towards this round…it is a clean slate for everyone. Voting will end at midnight on Sat, Mar 28 so make sure you vote!

The results are in for Round 1 with Abby and Tipton as the winners of their match-ups. They will go head to head in voting starting on Friday. Congratulations Abby and Tipton…I have a feeling that we’re in for a close match on Friday!

The voting starts today for Round 2. Remember that you can vote for one fan from each match-up, all you have to do is post a comment on your favorite picture. The entries are in, the brackets are set…it’s time to vote! Our first Mutt Madness contest is ready to begin and it looks like there is some tough competition out there!
