Falling in love over and over and over again!

I guess you could call it the hazards of the job (not sure hazard is really the right word), but everyday the playroom supervisors and I fall in love with a dog. There is no denying the look in our eyes and the sound of our voice when we’ve found ourselves falling for a dog. It’s like puppy love everyday!

I didn’t really realize what was happening until Chris pointed it out. Every night when I come home he asks me about my day. I go into a 5 minute monologue about the dogs and usually the story centers around one dog. After going on and on, I usually end with “I just love this dog!”

I’ve mentioned this “phenomena” to the supervisors and they’ve all said that they’ve had similar experiences. It comes down to “I love this dog and when I get another (or for some their first) dog, I’m going to get one just like so and so”. It really isn’t that we are set on a certain breed of dog, it’s really that we want a dog just like so and so. Then the next day rolls around and we’ve fallen in love all over again with another dog.

The nice thing about our jobs is that we can be in love with all the dogs: no jealousy, no fighting, no broken hearts. So, as of right now, the supervisors and I are in love with over 50 dogs and counting!
