A majority of our larger dogs love chasing after Kong and getting massive “air” to catch them. This is Crash a Great Dane/Lab mix that loves jumping in the air to get the Kongs before anyone else.

Let me introduce you to one of our newest doggies at Dogtopia, Mercedes a 3 month-old Beagle pup. Mercedes graced us with her presence about a month ago. As you can see she is very cute and still has some growing up to do. Even though Mercedes is still very young she has come out of her shell completely since her first few days here. When puppies come to daycare is have be somewhat overwhelming, after all it seems like everything is a giant sky scraper compared to them. After a while Mercedes got into the swing of things and cannot wait to go back into the Toybox, she gets a sever wiggle butt when she comes through the doors. Also Mercedes does not think she is a small dog at all! She plays with the biggest dogs in the Toybox (she’s already got small dog complex where she thinks she is a big dog). We love Mercedes, she is such a sweetheart and is so cute.

Meet Molly a Cockapoo who is one of our few dogs that can dance on command. A majority of our dancers are girl dogs, although we do have a few boys that like to shake their tail feather or fur in this case. Molly loves when we play music in the Toybox so she can dance with all the pack leaders. And how could you not think that she is the cutest thing!?

Everybody was kung-fu fighting

It’s an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

The little Beagle puppy is Mercedes. Don’t let her size fool you; she loves playing with the bigger dog in the Toybox like Cali an American Pitbull Terrier. Mercedes is one of our newest recruits for daycare and she is loving it! She has made so many friends in the short period she has been coming to Dogtopia.

Meet Picasso a 1 year old Akita. This is not your average Akita; he is a sweetheart, and does really well with big dogs as well as the small ones.  He also loves giving all the ladies kisses and as you can tell by how big his tongue is, those are some massive kisses. Picasso also loves wrestling in the Gym with all of his big dog friends, he is loved by both the two and four legged alike.

As everyone knows we had a lot of snow this past weekend. As usual we had both boarding and daycare dogs with us the day and night the sky started falling (as Chicken Little would say). The dogs that we did have with us loved the snow… well that is expect for the two Dachshunds Bean and Louie. Well I think it was more of they were waiting for all the larger dogs to pack down the snow so they didn’t get lost in all the fluffy white flakes. The Corgi’s that were boarding (Milo and Leo) were rolling around trying to make snow dog angels. The past few days have been filled with play bows, playing tag, catching snow balls, and lots of other fun snow activities. Here are just a few of our dogs that enjoyed the snow.

Bert: Oh boy. Oh boy. It’s twelve o’clock.
The little hand’s on the twelve, and the big hand’s on the twelve.
You know what I say to myself every day at twelve o’clock?
I say to myself, Bert, it’s twelve o’clock now – time for one of the most exciting things I do everyday.
It’s time for my nap.

Time for resting my head

Nice and comfy in bed
Feel my eyes getting drowsy
Time for counting some sheep
It’s such a perfect time to get some sleep

Ernie: Hi there, Bert. Hey, I’ve got a great idea for what we can do now, Bert.

Bert: Please don’t bother me now, Ernie

Ernie: How would you like to play some Kong, Bert?
Wouldn’t you like to go outside?
Wouldn’t you like to play a game of tug of war?
You seek, I’ll hide

Maybe a run around the block, Bert
Really, it’s such a lovely day
And such a perfect time for us to go out and play

Bert: I’d really rather not

A lot of our dogs love naptime. After playing for a few hours and eating a snack they lover curling up and catching some Z’s and recharge their batteries for the second half of the day.

This is Elvis, one of our many Beagles. Elvis is one of our older dogs at 12 years-old but he acts like he’s in his younger years at times. He especially loves racing down the hallway to go outside with his ears flapping. He loves to cuddle on the futons in the lounge with other dogs and the staff.

I’m not talking about what happens when dog exercise and work up a good sweat. No, Pet Sweat is bottled water which is currently being manufactured and sold in Japan, presumably created for all of those athletic Japanese dogs that like to stay active.

Many potential customers have reportedly been disgusted by the name, which may have resulted in lower sales for the company. Pet Sweat could take the lead from American manufacturers of bottled water for dogs, with names such as Fortifido, Hero Dog Water, Woof Water, PetRefresh, Aqua Dog, and Dog Whisperer Fortified Water for Dogs. Yet, 99% of dogs surveyed said they would still prefer to drink water out of the toilet. Who knew that they even made bottled water for dogs? I sure didn’t. But the question is would you humans out there buy bottled water for your dogs?

Going out of town for the holidays? Need a place for your furry companion to stay where they can be around dogs 24/7, play for hours every day, or just want them to be around people? Then Dogtopia is the place for you. I love having sleepovers with my friends where I can play all day and sleep right next to them at night. For all you doggies that have already been here be sure to tell your mommy or daddy’s to make your boarding or daycare reservations because we are starting to book up quickly. For all your doggies that do want to board with us but have never been here be sure to schedule your evaluation first so we can get you in for your play time or sleepover.
